A Silly Corporate Mistake That Can Cost You Everything

I just got off a phone call with one of our DKAffiliated CPAs, Frederick Schubert. We were discussing one of his new clients and he brought up a great point that I don’t emphasize enough. This is a mistake that we both see, again and again, when people try to “do it yourself” with a corporation.

IRS 'Fesses up to Missing Out on Millions

I just did a workshop on eBay today covering 25 common mistakes that can lead to an IRS audit. It was a lively workshop with a lot of questions regarding business structures, sole proprietorships and audits, and the big one “I just sell a few things on eBay - do I have to report that income and pay taxes on it?” (The answer is “yes,” BTW).
