I finally took the time to watch the last lecture of the “Last Lecture” series by a dying professor.
It’s not morose or sad, but funny, inspirational and a surprisingly good time.
I plan to watch it together as a family this week. If you haven’t seen it, set aside 75 minutes. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed.

I watched it this evening with my son. We both felt upbeat at the end. Live a good, ethical life and your dreams will be fulfilled. It is actually a joyous video.
Thanks for posting this.
I see the book just came out April 8th:
This is a little off subject, but I do look forward to watching the video.
My question is about my mother-in-law. She is 74 years old and lives comfortably on Social Security and investments that my father-in-law left her when he passed away. Her total income is about $60,000, her house, car and lake house are paid for so most of her expenses are for entertainment. She is rather risk averse (appropriate for her age in my opinion). Is there much that a tax strategy can do for her or are her options too limited to be able to do much with?
I appreciate your comments.
Will
My thought is not so much a tax strategy, but she does need to make sure that she’s got someone preparing her tax return who asks all the right questions.
Typically the tax strategy works for people with businesses (or who want to start them) and/or real estate (or people who want to invest in real estate)
LMK what you think about the video!
Thanks Diane, She is using someone to help with her taxes but I wasn’t sure if she needed more on the strategy and planning side. She is not going to start a business or invest in real estate at this point but more importantly she is healthy and happy.
I just watched the video…WOW. I thought that I would watch a few minutes, go to sleep and finish it in the morning; but it was too good to stop watching so I am up way too late tonight. He seems like a strong person with great values. He gave a lot of very good lessons in his last lecture. I chose to be a tigger a long time ago.
