Trading Optons - a business?

Currently I trade options on futures and equities in my personal a/c.
The trades generate monthly income with options strategies with defined risk (and limited but higher probability rewards). No day trading or frequent trading but monitoring the trades on a daily basis is recommended.
I am considering to trade under an LLC as a business. Has anyone done that? it is not a typical brick and mortar type or even a home based business which sells any item. I am not sure how IRS would consider this.
